My name is Bamboozle and I also own a tweed hat...

I bought it specifically as a fishing hat and even adorned it with snooty hat pins and some flies.

I gave it up a LONG time ago when I ditched the vest and adopted the Goober Pyle fishing look, but it still hangs proudly in a spare bedroom adorned with fishing memorabilia.

I also admit to STILL aspiring to this look someday, if I can find a particular kind non-felt hat. Bonus points to anyone who knows the Pennsylvanian gentleman pictured:

Is this a surprise? Isn't this the same dude who basically advocated getting rid of like, the actual fly line itself and replace it with 10,000k ft of mono? Because of "line management"...

If I am not fishing dry flies on fly line, I am fishing jigs on mono, up to a 6.4mm bead - which with lead wraps can weigh 1/4" oz and would 100% be easier to fish on a noodle type spinning rod. I prefer to fish the fly rod (10' 4wt or 10-7 3wt) with these, since when I am not fishing dries or big jigs, I am fishing size 20 ptn with a 2.0 bead and I can not cast/fish those with a spinning rod effectively. I do not want to carry two rods anymore, unless I am sure there will be a good hatch.

I also like the content Dom produces and I think he has done a lot of good for educating about conservation and how to fish. I owe a lot of my success with the mono systems to him.

If your asking about the camp above salmon and tionesta his name is Bill Kopar great guy known him since I was in diapers up till his passing,or he knew me in diapers lol,grew up with his children,Bill jr, Greg, Mike and Mary Beth,I believe His girlfriend July was living in it now

What was his name?

Harris G. Breth (1905-1992, former PA State Representative from Clearfield County. He was an author & naturalist who hosted a radio & TV show called "Outdoors with Harris Breth" on KDKA and he wrote an outdoor column for the Pittsburgh Sun Telegraph.

He wrote a small booklet titled, "I Got Him" A Complete Manual on Trout Fishing From Worms to Dry Flies, first published in 1938 and republished in 1982.

The photograph of him I posted is from the 2nd edition that is in my fishing library along with a signed first edition.
