Well went to the run today and abousulutley nailed them. There was some type of hatch going on, I dont know what but the fish are biting!
I was using a Stimulater then dropped down to a beaded head white/red zebra midge!

Caught about 20 brooks 6 browns and 3 bows!

well, i believe you. i was up there early that day (or the previous) and was nailing them too.

Well as a forum noob, which run is THE Run?

Glad to hear you did great. I've been hitting the streams around Harrisburg and getting some bites, but I think temperatures are getting too high

Not wanting to be, or implying I am, facetious but how are you able to be so sure you caught 20 brookies, 6 browns, and 3 rainibows? Do you use a clicker counter and some sort of log? I almost always forget after 8 or 9 fish.

Of all the bogus posts on this forum, and I'm sure most of you guys can identify them, this one goes to a new level.

Really? What exactly is bogus about this - the original post claiming lots of catching, or the skeptical replies?

Roosters and Gaeron are two, hard core, young fly fishers and I believe 'em. I had the pleasure of fishing with Gaeron this week at the youth camp and he's a mighty good FFer for his age.
Sure, the Run has had troubles in recent years but there have been fish stocked there recently and it's entirely possible they caught this number of fish (or something similar, clicker or not).

Gorosaurus,
The term "The Run" is the unofficial name of the creek that flows out of Children's Lake in Boiling Springs and into Yellow Breeches. Although a small, short creek, it's one of the most popular and (at least in past years) heavily fished sections of stream in PA.

It was just stocked, I saw them last thursday when I bumped into Albatross. They were all at the plunge pool, but they were there. Dont worry, they'll be gone before long.
Damn Prof, just took something to a new level yourself.

Who cares about how many? I mean its a good day, but how many times can you get the trifecta of brooks browns and bows? That's the best! Nice report! Let the haters hate.

I didnt see anything bogus about it.

In all honesty if they just stocked it, that answers that question. I was assuming some fish ran up it from the Breeches.

Either way, why doubt the man so quickly?

Thanks for the information, F-I! I'll say, one of the most difficult things getting into an established forum like this is understanding the plethora of unique terms. I'm sure the greater FFing community uses the same ones, but.. well this is my only access to that.

I luckily caught the trifecto just two days ago at Clarks. First time!

Yeah, no doubt. FFing is a complex sport with its own esoteric jargon. When I write in the Beginner's Forum I try to avoid acronyms and jargon out of courtesy to the new guys. Don't ever hesitate to ask what something means.

roosters977,

I apologize. I was relying on past posts which mentioned the lack of fish in "The Run". Should have waited until I had more information. It was stupid. Sorry and good job!!!!!
