Can anyone give me the name of a stream that has tribs containing native brookies?

I’m located in Chester county near west Chester.

I will GLADLY trade intel on 2-3 that I’ve found.

There’s some spotty populations in SEPA, but if you want to consistently find wild Brookies in PA, you need to get north, or west, or both, of Blue Mountain. This generally means into the Poconos or the ridge and valley part of the state.

Don’t be offended if you don’t get a ton of responses with specific stream names, and get more general advice, like the above. It’s well intended and if you listen to it, you’ll find it helpful. Guys are pretty tight lipped (for good reason) when it comes to naming specific Brookie streams out in the open on a public forum.

The Pa Class A Wild Trout Streams list is a great starting point. As mentioned, most folks won't name specific streams with native brookies. Exploring is a lot of the fun!

Shoot me a pm. A lot of the ones on the natural reproduction list/map in that county are from me telling the pfbc about them 10+ years ago. Grew up there. A lot of the streams have declined but they're still around.

Development. Banks getting destabilized by high flows, loss of pools and silt deposition.
