The Current: Colorado River and the Colorado University and global warming

Sharing this because it does help me better understand and validate the extremes and challenges of weather and water here on this continent.
The Colorado River system seems to help demonstrate the health and goals for maintaining the health of the river system and all who depend on it and all it serves - agriculture, humans and nature.
And it goes beyond the college for involvement. Other organizations participate.

It's a window to what is happening.
Anyone without mental ability or strength to stand up to ignorance and continues to dismiss global warming and continental effects as phony may not benefit. Fingers crossed they will benefit from those who understand.

It looks like a real struggle out west. Funny, when I started teaching 35 years ago, I specifically remember a very similar debate and I had students read an article about it. It seemed dire at the time, but I guess it is even worse today. I looked over a few things from the link and it's interesting the stakeholders that are on the board. The last article was pretty readable and suggested that the upper basin people seem less willing to conserve because they may need water for future development. Bottom line is we are putting things on land that weren't meant to be there. Yards, golf courses, dams, and farms. It's a tough one for sure, but the showering together solution sounds like a good one!🙂 And get rid of lawn watering!

Too much depending on one water source is the problem. A/C might e the problem without it the cities and towns out west in the summer time were almost unlivable. Population started growing when A/C became affordable and plentiful.
