Dear Board,

I have been searching for quite some time for NOS authentic Gaines Poppers. I found a lot of people selling 1 or 2 poppers for $ 5.00 to $ 7.00 each. Finally, I found a guy in North Carolina that looked like he bought out a bait shop 20 years!

My first dozen came today, in assorted colors and styles and I have another dozen on the way. Sneaky Pete's and Pan Pops were always my go to poppers and now I probably have a lifetime supply of the real things given my age.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

Good for you!!

I was looking at those myself, but I have a specific Gains popper & color I was after which is the Mini Pop in orange.

The last few I picked up in of all places, a bait shop in Rockland, ME. The owner was as glad to get rid of them as I was to get them. 😉

I can't explain it but for me, orange is my #1 popper color for smallies & rock bass...

FWIW - Depending on how they were stored, SOME of the NOS packaged poppers I've bought over the years have more fragile rubber legs than new, new stock poppers.

Of course the fish won't oblige, but try and avoid pulling on the legs...

Enjoy!!
