I was just jagging ya. The way you wrote it made me laugh. I should have put a smiley face after it I guess.
You're right! It is 100% The Little J! It has the word river in the name, so by default, it gets the "the."
People on this forum are rarely ready to get into fights. (I can't say that for everyone here. We definitely have some that enjoy the arguing.) Maybe we could phrase it like this:
Why does everyone on this forum take things so seriously and think that everyone is always being critical in a negative manner? This place is filled with good dudes and dudettes through and through with only a few troublemakers sprinkled in.
The crazy thing is that I speak to those people that I met off of this forum more than pretty much all other people in my life these days.

Furthermore, did you use to do it to it like Sonny Pruitt used to do it to it? (That is an old inside joke that won't make sense to anyone on here.)

Must have been a really good stream, have you given any thought to selling the coordinates? 😉
I already sold them before I left CO. I sold them to one of those guides in a drift boat on the Eagle River. He gave me $10 and a half-drank Dr. Pepper. I spilled my guts about the location.
Jokes on him. I will never be back there again. I don't care if those waters get crowded with fishermen. 😏

I’m totally calling it the Kish now.
Edit: Sasquatch called The Pine “The Pine”, and I thought it was funny how it riled everyone up. I like Andy and miss him, and it makes me think of him when I do it. And it’s become totally second nature now. I’m one of “those guys” that calls it The Pine now. Same thing will happen to The Kish, as a result of this. Jfigz is gonna kill me. 😝

Interesting. There are things I'd like to say, advice, if you would, but it's probably sagacious to keep that to myself. But it's definitely something I learned while being an active member of this forum. I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about.

There seems to be a few exceptions on this
Two more come to mind:
I've always heard it referred to as "the" Letort , which is certainly no river.
And have heard many call another creek "the" Brodhead too
Maybe out of some reverence for the history of both streams?

I’ve also heard people say “the Pohopoco” and “the Perkiomen.” But not in every case, not as definitive as “the Letort.”
Edit - “the Brandywine” too.

Letort & Brodhead are sort of truncations (?) of their proper names, Letort Spring Run & Brodhead Creek respectively.
If you use their complete names (which hardly anyone does) "the" is not needed or used.
As a former Pocono resident, the same goes with Pocono Creek and Bushkill Creek or "Big" Bushkill Creek as it is known locally.
If you drop the "creek" part of the name, it's "the" Pocono and "the" Big Bushkill.
Somehow McMichael's Creek escapes this logic, possibly because it is a possessive. I call it and have heard it called McMichael's or McMichael's Creek but never "the" McMichael's or even the McMichael.
Same with Jean's Run in Carbon County, it's either Jean's or Jean's Run but not "the" Jean's...
