Glad you enjoyed it. DHALO area by Middle Fork?
I live about 6 miles from the crick and its great having good flows close during hot summer months. I haven't fished over there this year yet. When flows are good there are just so many other places to go.

Did you see any mayflies or caddis? On the same day, there were sporadic risers to sulfurs on WBC River. When steady rain started around 6 I changed to nymphing and had an exceptional evening catching stock browns, rainbows, and even 2 orange trout.

Yea I was going to fish main branch and could of,but I'm my haste thinking it was gonna be blown out I invited a friend who fishes in muck boots, carries a small tackle box and plants a mailbox, however he caught fish and had a blast that's really all that's important, that's why I took him to Bindigo Park and not to the main branch where he would of been SOL ,he hasn't fished in a few yrs due to a heart attack, but at least I showed him a good spot to catch stockers,

I really don't look for hatches, sorry, not very good at small hooks, hence I'm really a streamer guy,BTW I have a micro dungeon which I cut off one of the hooks why it has 2 being so small is anyone's guess which has caught over 45 trout on this year alone and a few were over 20 inches that's still going strong,

Yes sir getting harder every year to Wade , walking 3 miles a night sure helps with the wading,

I'll be at my secret spot between Ridgeway and Johnsonburg around 5:30 am tomorrow morning might be the last hoorah for the season,no rain in the forecast, warmer temps, but fu*'&$# getting up at 3;30 sure does suck ,blue bird day fishing might be good till 9-10:00 if I'm lucky, then head to EB DHALO AREA

Shut the alarm off rolled back over went back sleep, did fish Buffalo Creek near Freeport and caught a whooping 2 Small mouth all under 8 inches ,great day, it just felt like I'd being falling asleep behind the wheel so I cancelled on myself

I think most of us have had one or more of those!

Whether as a young person that had too much fun the night before, or as me now, over 50 and just plain tired!

Well done on the 'plan b', anyways.

Joe
