Do you have some fishing pics you can share from your trips to Switzerland?Did 2 great trips to Switzerland, including fly fishing both times. Weird fishing laws, you are required to keep your catch. Fishing is for food, not fun in their culture. That said of course there's a subculture more similar to ours, I had a guide, and what do you know, everything I caught flopped off accidently after snapping a pic.
Lower population density, higher median income, and much older cities with stable populations that have had their high growth, high pollution phase before Columbus sailed the ocean blue. We are cleaner now than we were 50 years ago and getting cleaner. Its a normal cycle when a new area sees massive population growth, and once it stabilizes cleans everything up in the coming centuries. They had about 1000 year head start. Many of the houses and streets and such were built in the 1200's through the 1400's and are well kept up.
Awesome! What a beautiful country!See if this works.

My Main point was that Switzerland has very advanced water treatment that keeps their waters clean despite having large urban populations crowded around their waters. Harrisburg has a large urban population that dumps its **** in the water after any rainfall over a sprinkle. Why can’t we spend to upgrade our greatly failing infrastructure?I’m confused here. So your whole point is to be grateful for what we have as far as streams and opportunities in Pennsylvania and the US.
Great photos of the Alps in the summertime! At the risk of getting Pcrayed, why did you say Switzerland has a lower population density? Were you comparing to Pennsylvania? Also, saying things are getting cleaner lacks context. Rampant development in southeast Pa is severely degrading the environment here. While egregious forms of point source pollution have lessened due to regulations and outsourcing of manufacturing, paving over the land is permanent and just as destructive to the environment. And I would be willing to bet the environmental gains made since the 70’s will be reversed in the coming years.See if this works.

One of my former Italian coworkers was a trout fisherman and told me he fished in streams in the Alps where he owned a home, that from his description I believe looked similar to the small mountain stream in your Trip 1 pictures.See if this works.
