swatara creek lebanon co 9-3-12

was out this morning. i could caught a bass to save my life, but saw them. during a go with a mediumish creek chub a monster bass was mauling it. pretty sure at on point the bass actually tried eating it....all this within a few feet of me.
today was more of a rock bass day. was using an #8 black bugger and those red eyes were turned by it.
hoping it does not rain hard, as i have off all week.

canoed a little farther down in Dauphin County yesterday. Two of us caught 7 bass total. Some on rubber worms, Rapalas, and Rebel Crayfish. Some of the bass were spitting out crayfish. I would have liked to have had the fly rod out but didn't have alot of time and wanted to cover water. Not much luck in the slower pulls. No redeyes. At least I am getting to know the water better.
