Afish, I agree with your comment about the sediment. The east branch especially has turned into fallfish central. I fished it often around 2010-2014 time frame and the decline in fishing in those few years was dramatic. West branch doesn't seem to have changed much, but even that was always just slightly above average at best, as far as smallie creeks go.

Fished further upstream in Lebanon County today. It fished well. Caught about 30 (mixed species) in 2 hours. Most were Redbreasts, which was nice to see, though I caught a couple of very thick Bluegills too. Caught a very large (15”) Fallfish and got one Smallie that went about 9” or so. I feel a little better about things now.

All fish were caught in the shade...Not one strike out in the sunlight. I fished a size 10ish Chartreuse BH Bugger.

Shermans Creek in my opinion is way off in normal numbers of fish caught. I’ve fished it a couple of times this summer (as conditions allowed) and have caught a few really nice size smallies but the younger year classes just don’t seem to be there. I worked real hard to catch a few fish.

I think the past couple years of really high flows have impacted the spawn and the creek bass populations are down, especially the smaller fish that are usually in abundance.
