They evolved together in Ohio river drainages where smallmouth prey on them. But being new to Susky likely means they grow faster, and bass may shy away from the bigger ones. Nevertheless, when smaller, Susky and Potomac bass, themselves Ohio river basin invasives, should quickly adapt. That does not diminish, however, the harm they can do.
