I went out three times in the last week of October. Fishing was great one day, poor the second trip and quite good the third trip, No pictures from the great day, I forget my camera. The third day no monsters but fish up to 17". I might go tomorrow.

The large bass was caught at a different time. I just added it to show how big they can get.

I'm thinki9ng I'm enjoying smallmouth more than trout. I don't have to pay for a shuttle. I don't have to contend with 35 other guys floating the same river and vying to get into the same lies and pools. I don't have to use a tippet lighter than 2X. I get to sleep in my own bed every night and I don't spend a ton of money on gas getting there and going back home.

Smallmouth fishing on WB Susquehanna summer and fall is a blast. I have been wade fishing, bought kayak late summer. Still enjoy trout on top! But a top water bite on a buggle bug is pretty nice!

I agree on all counts. And know exactly what you are talking about. I have had some of my best days out there since my boy got his jet boat.
