Susquehanna River, Dauphin County Labor Day

Another wonderful day with my fly rod. The bass were holding in deep water in the shade. I got blasted with sun last week while fishing for stripers in my Bro's boat, so I had to stay in the shade. Even with "Streamer Express" sink tip, I had to put 1/50 oz to bounce along the bottom. Heavy streamers are no fun to cast! LOL but the bass wouldn't come to the surface. I'm a longrodder, so I do what I have to do.
I caught a half dozen smallmouth from 8" to 12" I fished from 5pm until 7:30pm......... lead eye woolybuggers worked best. another wonderful Labor Day!
