Fished the Susky around Millersburg on Friday from abut 8 am - 8 pm. I was using both fly and spinning gear. Caught most fish on green tubes with the spinning rod due to the breeze, but a few on clousers and near-nuff crayfish. Pretty consistent action throughout the day - totaled around 45-50 fish. What was GREAT was that about half of those were 1-2 year olds. It was nice to see some small fish. Also caught a good many beasts in the 15-20 inch range. I forgot what a pissed off 18 inch smallie at full tilt feels like! Even though this probably would have been an 80-100 fish day in the past, it was great to be on the river and it reminded me of the old days. Will post a pic or two when I get a chance.

We were in a canoe. We'd paddle to different spots and then wade, er, try not to die by slipping on snot-slick rocks and drowning.

flyers18: The white flies are starting. They weren't really heavy when we got off the river, but when we were driving back toward Harrisburg, we could see the lights at the Hardee's in Dauphin and they were SWARMED big time.

Here's a pic. Last fish of the day!
