Still getting plenty of action on the flyrod. Brown and orange clousers on a type 3 line and lots of pauses in the retrieve has been producing. The fluctuating water height drives you nuts though, one day they are here and the next day they are a little further over. Anyhow the fishing has been good and I wish the cold weather would hold off, but next week it looks wicked. Water temperature yesterday was 45.

j-man,
I'm thinking of hitting the river on Saturday. What area have you been fishing, e.g., above or below Dauphin? I imagine the water temps have cooled a bit since last week.

Thanks

Temps have cooled a lot (12 degrees in past 2 weeks) and have been steady upper 40s. Despite the above average air temps, the river is cold. There is not enuf daylight or hi sun angle to warm the water. At least the guides are not freezing up.
