Such a wonderful evening wading with my 6wt. About a dozen smallmouth bass with the biggest two almost 20"! The biggest two pulled drag down to the backing........ I thought I had a channel cat or a carp. LOL He almost broke my 6wt. I guess when bass get over 16", they don't jump...... too fat to jump!
Hot fly was a size 6 woolybugger in olive with no weight at all! All the bass were in 3' of water. No wind and shallow water, absolutely perfect for a fly rod!
One of the best fishing trips I ever had.
Scuze me, while I tie a fly

Great Pictures! thanks
Glad some one is catching smallmouth, I have been doing terrible all summer. Guess it's time to get out on the rivers.

I'm not looking for specific spots, but could you give a sense of where you were fishing by indicating a nearby town? I try to get there on trips to Harrisburg/Philadelphia, just want to know if these conditions are within shooting range.

WoolyBugger,

That last picture is AWESOME!!!
Glad you had a great evening, and hope there are many more!

The sunset is awesome. Besides my friends and family; these types of things are the best life has to offer.
