Sulphur Patterns - Hackle Orange or Yellow for PA?

And I often catch fish on sulpher patterns, when they're taking cahills,
Light colored fly in the right size will usually do the trick
I think we sometimes make this more complicated than it needs ro be

I have used cream hackle exclusively since the 70s. I’ve been playing with Whiting’s golden straw this year and have been impressed with the results so far.

I usually use white or so i thought. When someone said ginger I has to look and a couple older ones had ginger hackle.

I have pale yellow and pale orange hackle. They don't attract more fish than most if not all of the other colors mentioned in this post.

I tie both orange and yellow. I tie on whatever I feel like at the time or whatever looks closest to the bugs I'm seeing. I know; it's not very scientific. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I seem to use orange ones more on freestone streams
And pale yellow in limestoners

I tie my Sulfurs withe kapok, then color the belly cream which on the kapok gets a little darker and more on the orange scale.
