Time Fished: 1130am - 130pm

Weather Conditions: Cloudy, Raining at times, 50 degrees falling to 49, breezy

Water Conditions: Decent flow, off color, water temp 49 degrees

Insects: none

As I drove along the creek there were no vehicles in the 4 typical parking spots I passed and I also could see the water was off color. I thought that was a good combination to get the trout active. Before I could tie my flies on, a truck parked behind me and a father and son quickly made it to the creek.

I crossed the creek and gave them a wide berth and fished my way through a typically productive stretch. However I fished down through a long way before my first strike, which broke off both flies I was swinging. I was lazy and I left last year’s leader on. So after fulling re-rigging I only had one more strike after I switched to a streamer.

As Sugar Creek continued to get more murky I decided to switch to another stream that might have more activity.

I caught 0.
