DAMN COLD!!

Water a bit lower then normal, or atleast to my liking. For some reason caught all the bigger fish in the pools today. Didnt ever think to use it, but was using what i guess was a micro bugger. Looked like a normal size like 16-18 hares ear. But was tied in the olive bugger material. Anyway, ill post some pics in a few.

Yes, and i fish the whole stream equally. Fish i every hole

nice, 😛 what flies were you using? im gonna guess unique midge patterns?

Went there yesterday. Just threw in random streamers and ripped out a bunch of trout. One of the most effective patterns I used was a letort hopper with a split shot rippin it threw the water.

friday, the two main streamer holes were iced over.
my methods were a little more finess.
with those fish, it really doesn't matter although I couldn't get any of the palamenos to play.

Pallies? what pallies! Ive only ever had 2 take my flies and they both broke my off, so i have a score to settle.

I hooked one of the pallies on saturday and fought him for a while but he broke off. Had a black Krystal bugger on then.

What holes are the pallies in mattmask? Last i checked the High Arch bridge hole, the next one down stream, the baseball field hole, the dam, the next hole with the rapids, then that old bridge, then the railroad bridge far down.

In the old bridge and railroad bridge its really rapid, then it slows down a little but there are still riffles. After the riffles theres a little flat which doesn't seem to hold fish but in the riffles before the flat there are a bunch of bows and about 4 pallies. On Satrday though there was a guy out there with his son and they came right next to me like 5 feet away and they were chummin the water like crazy with corn and rippin out fish and were keepin some of them. I asked if he was going to eat them and he said they were for his pond.

I know he has every right to be taking his catches, but bleh. Catch and release or die. Not to mention let all these small 10inch fish holdover till opening day, why bother now.

I do not beleive it is legal to transport live fish in PA. So he was ineffect breaking the law.

acristickid, I think that only applies to fish like snakeheads and other such nasty critters. Heck, you can catch a limit of trout or bluegills and take to them to another water and use them for bait as long as you caught them legally.

I think the guy was rude but not breaking the law...

I'm fairly sure it's illegal to use "gamefish" as bait. Too lazy to check now, but I'll get around to it.

Oops.

Curiosity got to me and it looks like I was wrong.
