High water, off enough so in 3 feet you cant see a palomino. A hatch broke out of something for a good 10 minutes. No fish were rising though. Hooked a palomino TWICE and screwed it up landed them, that sucked. Also caught what i think was a holdover brown. Heres the pics.

I hit it 2day from 2 45 to 5. Got 2 on a wooly bugger. My buddy ripped out ten in about an hour one being a holdover brown. Not much action though. Got a couple other fish on PT's. Had to get the fly really deep for hits though. On the bugger I only had 3 hits and I hooked and landed 2 of them, both being bows.
Went again today, man someone doesnt want me to land a pallie. First few casts in, watching the indicator, watching it, watching irt, Bam it sinks, I set the hook firm! At the same time seeing the golden fish in the pool expand his jaw where i set the hook at! My heart raced and then in a split second, it was over, he won again. ;(
how long were u in that hole and wat did u hook him on, I was in that hole at like 2 and fished under the bridge for about 1 and a half hours b4 that, On my first cast I got my first brook trout, then, it was very slow and only got one other rainbow. Mute did u get any fish 2day other than hookin that pallie and wat did u get the other ones on?
Yea, i actually got a good amount of fish, probably around 7 at the old bridge and 3 down stream at the frog hole, then i walked down to the wall at the dam and first 4 casts i got 3 Nice rainbows, probably the biggest left, about 12 inches each. First one was odd, it was fighting right but when i got it closer i could see both my flies were in the water around it, so i was like wtf? Then i finally noticed it had a hook and a line with a loop stuck in its tounge and i somehow was reeling it in hook on the loop of that previous spinfishermans line. Caught them all on midges and micro buggers(pallie took a green and a black). fished from 11 to 3, surprised i diditn see you, when i was walking back and forth, i seen one person pull in a red car around 3.
mute i think i know wat ur saying but i want to clarify the bridge, its the old bridge, the second one down right? and no i never noticed fish holding there if we are talking of the same bridge, i get most my fish under the bridge. And did u catch the 3 rainbows on ur first 4 casts right above the dam? if so when ur facing the dam were u on the right side or left side?
Hmm i dont think we're talking about the same bridge, im talking about High Arch Bridge. Theres a bench to your left, and theres a parking lot and pavillian type thing behind you. Are you talking about the railroad bridge that ways down stream? Its really deep in the middle and theres like a wall in the middle under the bridge? And about the dam, i stand on the wall in front of the dam and cast out in front of it.
no im talking abotu the bridge right behind the state hospital, the one that says that there are no trout stocked in the area, when there are trout right under the bridge, but i have only been a little way past the dam when the stream splits in to two is the farthest ive been, are there holes with trout in them close to there? Or are the holes farther up? Also i fished immediatley below the dam yesterday with no luck, do u get fish in there?
Oh, that bridge, yea they DID stock a few of them there. If you go about a mile down strea, theres another bridge, a railroad bridge, its really deep, and tons of fish there, they stocked the majority there. Its easier to walk the road down then the stream. But i would suggesting walking UPSTREAM of the dam, just walk the road all the way up until your standing on a bridge with a sign called High ARch bridge, then go down in the parking lot under the bridge and youll see the fish you see in my drawing.

WEnt out today, amazing weather. When the sun was out a hatch started up. I seen a few big mayfly looking flies. But for the majority there were these small things. I caught one and took a pic below. Is it just a gnat? or mosquito? But again, i had a damn palomino on. And of course, it was a solid hook set, but this time my 7x decided to break. *sighs* So i lost him again, and he mocked me by sitting right in front and shacking his jaw 50 times trying to get the fly out.
