Cold, Stream's iced over 4/5 holes. Still managed to hook 3 and land 1. Can still see plenty of fish left swimming under the ice, via the video

Good stuff, how did you get under the ice? Haven't tried out stony yet but hope to get there at some point. I haven't been to pickering since last time we talked in October/November so I don't know how that fishes in the winter. Right now just trying out some of the local lakes and practicing my casting ability also stocking up on some egg paterns and different things to get me ready for the warmer weather next week (that should break up the ice)

Only fished the 2 holes that weren't iced over. Pickering is dead until the next stocking, might be 1 or 2 fish left. Poachers hammered them in the fall.

pickering still has plenty of fish and some chucky ones at that-
speaking of lakes, what i haven't done and meant to is hit scotts run - that wouldn't be one of the lakes you are referring to?

Skilionian you fished it lately? Last time i was there like a month ago there were 3-4 fish under the bridge that werent interested in anything and one or 2 fish upstream in the boulder holes, sure that doesnt mean there isnt any anywhere else, just the usual spots.

weekend before x-mas I got 10 in a little under 3 hours
they were in the usual spots but in different lies

Fished today, had bout 10 in an hour. Thegabber did u fish there today?

Mute,
Are you talking about the Stoney Creek west of Harrisburg off 322?
Are you driving all the way from Norristown ?
Is so my hat's off to you, I don't live 30 miles from there and don't fish it that often.

Buffalo

Haha nope, not that one, if f150's didnit guzzle i would drive that far that often though 😛

Yeah, I got a real late start on fishing. I think I saw you leaving as I was getting there. I stopped for a sec to see if you saw me, but maybe you didn't see me.

I had to whole creek to myself until I got further downstream. I did manage to get a nice brookie on a dry fly.

Skiltonian - Scotts Run was frozen over today. I expect it to thaw this week. They will be stocking it on Tuesday, so maybe try next week. I expect to be there next week weather and ice pending. Thanks for the tip on Pickering, maybe I'll hit that this week after work.

Ahh damn, yea i did see you, but wasnt sure if it was you, i saw you stop, my bad. Thats awesome on the dry fly.

BTW who is stony stocked by I didn't see it on the PFBC site. I may have just missed it though.

pfbc stock it pre season, and sca stocks it multiple other times per year.

dunno how this poor fish eats with a spinner deep throated.

well at least the person who caught it didn't try to rip it out. I see that happen so many times on the pennypack and you just end up with a bloody fish floating downstream. Still not a good diagnosis for that fish though.
