Stony Creek, 11-29-10, Montgomery Co

Fished for a few hours after getting out of work early. First time since spring that ive hit this stream. Water is low and cold. Still the usual group of hunters there every day.

THe majority of the fish are probably 5-7 inches long. Took the usual micro winter patterns. Action is pretty slow and the bite is inconsistent and light.

Managed to land one of the 2 goldfish for a pic. Sorry for cellphone quality.

mute - nice pull on the blondie! Haven't covered this stream in any great detail, but NEVER would've guessed at there being a palimino(?) or two in Stony Creek... That looks like an egg pattern, too. Good job!

Mcfinn, thanks. THeres actually quite a few left. 2 in the baseball field hole, one by the dam, and many more in the holes upstream. Once you become very familiar with the stream youll figure out what holes get hit the hardest and where the rediculous pods of fish are. If you get out in the next few days, go to where the streams meet. About 40 fish, all stacked up in a 5 foot by 5 foot by 1 foot deep hole.

fished it yesterday, water is still chocolate milk on kepner from work up at the hospital and any water with any depth is frozen. Few guys broken up the ice at the dam. I went up stoney, not much open water as it was frozen over, but found a few open holes and caught 10 fish - all brookies .

Thanks for the report. Saves me a trip. Maybe the dirty water will keep alot of the fish alive through the winter. Cant imagine much catching going on.

yeap, now we just need a real good rain to bring the fish down to the pipe hole or better yet the zoo hole, as none of the meat hunters go down there until the tourney
