F'in Cold, Windy, Mostly Iced.

Stream levels were great, nice flows, deep holes.

Nymphs produced the best, mostly non beads on the smaller sizes and most buggy looking patterns.

Mainly went out to test out the new 3wt setup i got from a user on here.

Are those colors on that brook trout typical of the brookies raised by the Cooperative Nursery at Stony Creek?

Stupid question, but:

has anyone witnessed in person or film the courting procedure for trouts or char? I raised guppies and recall the "showing of the profile" with fins flared, maybe quivering somewhat, etc. Do trout "fan" like this in the courting ritual or diplay broadside to show off those deepened colors? I think this might be an interesting thing to observe.

Fish are weird

Thank you for the links; mostly enjoyed cruising around high country and very small creeks. Trout bumming fishing nuances getting more exposure on YouTube! Hopefully this is as a good wisdom sign…
