Fished the lower end of Stoney Creek this morning from about 7 to noon. As I've not been there before, I don't know what "normal" conditions are, but the water appeared to be pretty high - quite a bit of stream side vegetation was submerged. The water was also a bit dirty at first, but cleared as the morning went on. Is the water at Stoney always darkly colored?

The morning was overcast, but dry. Water temp was 64 degrees at 7am. No visible hatches, nor surface activity could be seen

I managed to catch three guppies about as long as my index finger, and my fishing buddy caught one brown about 8" and LDR'd another larger fish.

Honestly, I found the fishing a bit difficult. I'll likely go back, but perhaps when the water levels are lower.

Thanks for all the pointers offered in preparation for this trip.
