Location: George Harvey Area
Time Fished: 8am - 1245pm
Weather Conditions: 71 degrees, overcast
Water Conditions: 60 degrees, quite cloudy, running fast after previous night storms
Insects: Caddis large and small, rusty spinners, sulphurs, sz 14 brown mayfly; no real volume of any type
Despite the cloudy water my father tied on a dry so I took him to the best hole and I headed for a riffle. I opted for a streamer but after fishing it through with no strikes I changed to a small wooly bugger and began getting strikes. Most strikes felt like small fish. Eventually I caught a nice one and I went back to check on my dad who had broke one off and missed a few others. I caught a few there and some began to rise. We each had some action on dries but the rising was sporadic and lasted only about 45 min. I ended up catching 6 on a bugger, 1 on a Slate Drake nymph and 1 on a dry. My father had a few on but didn’t land any. Another fisherman caught 3 on a floating green inchworm.
The photo below of the angler shows how nice the morning was. The photo Spruce Brown1 looks more like an Atlantic Salmon than a brown trout. No orange or red spots. The wild fish in Brown2 is more indicative of what I caught in terms of markings.

Location: Former Indian Caverns Property (current Catch and Release Area)
Time Fished: 1pm - 120pm
Weather Conditions: 80 degrees and Sunny
Water Conditions: quite cloudy and running fast
Insects: none
We just made a quick stop to check the stream. I fished through the holes from the top to the middle and my father fished the middle to the bottom. Neither of us had a strike but we really just wanted to get an idea of water depth and quality. There are some very nice holes at the top. The middle section has walls on either side making landing a fish a bit of a hassle. The parking area is across a bridge near the Tee Pee. The 2 abandoned buildings on the backside of the parking lot are going to be demolished at some point based on what a land owner told us. Another couple was fishing here when we arrived and they had caught some earlier. One supposedly approached 18 inches.
