Late report, but the grannoms were all over Spruce Creek last Sunday. I fished the George Harvey section, and before parking the bugs made an appearance on my windshield. All afternoon, browns were sipping caddis and as evening approached the trout became much more aggressive in their feeding. It was tough to leave the stream, but family obligations drew me home.
Thanks to the crew at FFP for setting me up with a quality grannom dry fly, and for confirming that the bugs were hatching. It was my best day of fishing dries since last July on Spring Creek when the Tricos were abundant.
