Did my pilgrimage to Oil Creek from the 2nd to the 5th. On my way to OC I stopped at Spring on the evening of the 1st aound 8pm. Small BWO and Sulpur hatch but really pretty sparse. Caught 2 small browns on a #18 BWO. OC was low and warm, probably pushin 70 at Petroleum Center and around 67 or so at Drakes Well. I fished 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours each night. Still plenty of fish in the creek but my sulphur hatch was nowhere to be found. Caught about 4 fish a day using BHHE during morning and Light Cahill emerger at night. Rainbows during the morning and browns at night. Nothing bigger than 14" although I saw plenty of larger fish. Rain on sunday & monday knocked the temps down to around 65. Fished Spring creek on my way home from about 6 to 8:30. Nice BWO hatch right near the handicap access. A size 20 would have been perfect but I didn't have any so I used a gray midge and caught 4 with one a little over 16". When I got home the next day I went to palisades at the Tully. Fished from about 4:30 to 6:30. Nice caddis hatch, caught 5 healthy fish 2 browns and 3 rainbows 12-16". #18 caddis emerger worked well.
