Spring Creek Centre County Pa 7/26/14

Tied some flies Saturday morning and decided to try them out in the afternoon. Returned to the location which was mentioned in my last report. This week flavor was fire ant. Being stealthy was a bit tougher as the water was noticeably lower. Caught some smaller ones while spooking a few larger size fish. Dusk arrived and the fish readily hit the size 14 stimulator again. Managed to catch a few 11 inchers to round out the evening. Water still cool.

Fished today at the flats roght at the new parking lot for the Prison Stretch, warm 86 degrees, clouds and sun. Was up for biz and so only fished from 3 pm to 430, caught 2 nice browns, missed one (LDR) on #16 gray scud and #24 miracle nymph on point, one on each so go figure. Best part was all the looks my small orange thingamabobber got. Tossed a caddis at the end, but no looks. Looks like lots of fish.
