Was up at State College for the weekend at my daughters graduation. Time flies as it seems like I just dropped her off. I had a few hours on Saturday morning to get out before the commencement ceremony. I went to the canyon area for the morning. Very busy with hunters, bikers, hikers, horse back riders and anglers.
The weather was gorgeous with sunny skies and air temps in the mid 70's at 9:00 when I started. The water was it's normal off color and at 58 degrees. No hatches or insects coming off all morning.
I threw an variety of streamers, walts worms, nymphs and some dry flies, but no luck for the morning. I saw a few risers that poked up as I was getting ready to leave at 11:30. Beautiful morning and enjoyed a mink the showed up across the bank for a bit.
