I fished Spring Creek with two other guys April 22, 23 and 24. We fished the Benner Spring section. Most of the fish were taken on the top. The action was fairly consistent all three days. The best day was Thursday. We saw lots of rising fish, but some were fairly picky. Most of the fish were taken on adams 16 & 18. 5-6x tippets were needed with 9-12 ft leaders. The water was in the low 50's. Water was clear (it always has that milky cast) and moving fairly well. This section of Spring gets a lot of attention and we saw many spin fishermen and some bait guys. There were some intermittent showers but not enough to chase us away. My buddy Jeff had some real nice fish in the 14-15 inch category. We say the osprey carrying a fish down stream. I might have done better if I didn't spend about 2.5 hours of my trip on the phone with my office. Hope to get back soon. At least I didn't fall in on this trip.
