Great day to be out. Very pleasant, air temps became quite comfortable quickly after a cold start at 8:00 AM. I had thought the fishing would be red hot after an early spurt of hookups but the fishing never really took off like it seemed it would. All in all, a decent number of fish landed between two of us. Fish took scuds, mercer's mayfly nymphs, and cranefly larva. BWO and midges hatched in moderation later in the day. A few missed fish on BWO's but not really much of a dry fly day.

went to spring on saturday and had similar day , sporadic bwo and loads of midges but no fish rising to either , nice day though , all fish were caught on cress bugs , hard to keep on small hooks with light tippet but was fun. water temps were 46 in mid day , another 5 deg. might be prime maybe even this weekend coming if its 50 deg. air temp all week.
