Stream in awesome shape! Fished late afternoon and evening at the paradise and above. Caught a good bunch, all in shallow riffles with size 16 shenk cress bug. Smattering of Cahills with a few risers to them.
But the real action of the evening started at about 7:30 or so. A great hatch of Attenella attenuata. I thought that they were little sulfurs (dorothea) at first, but when no fish would take my fly, I caught a bug and to my surprise it was bright green! They have yellow legs and yellow tinted gray wings - so in the air they look for all the world like sulfurs - but don't be fooled. They are bright green when they emerge but then they fade to a duller pale green in a few minutes. So if you go make sure to have some bright green size 18's with cream or yellow hackle.

I managed to bring one home to photograph and I didn't get very good pics but I've attached them. Note that the color at emergence was very bright and it faded to this drab pale green color.
