Spring Creek, Centre County, 05/4/13

Water had a slight color to it but the intense sun made my nymph rig amazingly visible. Started with a sz. 16 tan beadhead caddis pupa followed by a sz. 14 sulfur nymph. Catch rate was about 50/50 until later in the day it went decidedly more towards the pupa, so I switch to both caddis. Some small caddis were seen hatching, but just one here and there. Smaller fish were quite active. I got into 26 trout (I just happened to be counting hook-ups. I almost never do this.) in about 4 hours of nymphing.
Sulfurs: Only a few seen coming off in the evening. One sparse spinner cloud and only a little rising when it fell. The following weekend should be great.

I fished Spring Creek this past week and the action is much slower than back in May. Some fish were rising toward dark but I could not determine what they were eating. Anyone fish there this week and know what was hatching toward dark?
