Fished Spring in the Eve @ Mamoth Springs farm. Water was up and somewhat chalky. It was up enough that Spring was actually tough to wade in a lot of places. Sulfurs we pretty light. The overcast day may have helped make the hatch start early. The fish started rising lightly at 7:30. All fish caught were smallish with one 14" taken on a showshoe emerger sz. 14 right along the bank. The wild flower, the phlox, which has always accompanied this mayfly was completely absent. The land and waters in Central PA are around a week behind, maybe more.
