The nice weather had me ready for fishing, but not the trout. Not many midges. Saw one BWO. Fished a scud with an beatis nymph trailer. Did land one and lost 2 in a few hours fishing. Not a lot of pressure, but it was there. Maybe I was in someone's wake.

I fished Sping in the afternoon on Sat. as wel (Benner springs)l. Pretty much the same results...not much happening bug wise, did land 4, on cress bug and small pheasant tail. Lots of people between hikers and fisherman. Had a nice lab swim out to say hello. I did land several whopper white suckers.

I was out today (Sunday). White suckers hitting for sure! Trout hitting as well on hares ears, rainbow warriors and frenchies. Midges out, no bwos, no risers.

I went out Saturday too. I started at sunrise on a tributary to spring and had BWO coming off like crazy. Never any risers though. This stream is tiny though and lacks any good slow pools for rising fish. Around 10am I left the trib and went over to spring but could not find any water that hadnt been thoroughly fished that day.

Don't psych yourself out on Spring Ck. It has a very high density of fish. As long as the angler ahead of you doesn't wade all over the holding water, you can easily catch fish, especially if you are using a lure or fly that the trout prefer over that being used by the angler ahead of you. I have participated in a three angler (friends) loosely constructed line with about 50 to 100 ft of spacing heading up the creek on occasion and sometimes the third angler catches more than the first two combined.

I fished Spring on both Sunday (Milesburg) and Monday (Canyon), and did OK, but nothing to write home about. Looking forward to getting back in a few months...

Looked like opening day at the Paradise on Sunday when I first drove there, so ended up heading down to Milesburg and glad I did...

Fished spring yesterday 2-26-2017
Water was up just a tad, perfect color
32degree air temp, didn't take water temp

Caught quite a few on non-beadhead PT's, seemed to be my hot pattern.
Talked to some other folks who had luck fishing cress bugs.
Fished nymphs (PT's) until 3:30pm, was slow and steady fishing, about one fish every half hour or so.
Started seeing risers @ 3:30, fish were rising to midges.
Caught 3 on top via Griffiths gnat before I had to pack up and go home.

Overall good day of fishing, and exceeded my expectations.
