Fished spring creek on Saturday above Bellefonte. Picked a few up on Sulphur nymphs, few on emergers and a couple of dries. The hatch was decent early afternoon when the sun wasn't out. Didn't see any spinners around 8 pm so I called it quits. Finally got to meet a few legends from the board.

here is my biggest of the day. not a monster but around a 14-15 inch brownie. ill take it any day.

fished sunday. very windy, sporadic rises. I managed 5 but had to earn each one. most caught on snowshoe emergers

Great day on the stream. Very nice to meet you Redrock.

Great day - Had the opportunity to catch a bunch trout on one of Albatross's dry flies that he tied.

Now here is what really blew my mind on Sat. We went to BFC and Spring. Conditions could not really have been better and there were just a handful of fishermen out on either stream. Now you always hear the "too many people rant". We ran into Redrock and he was the only other car in the lot on spring. There were more walkers than fishermen. Saturday in May, Sulphers are hatching and trout are rising, no people .

Great to meet you Redrock!

Further to Bruno's comment, I had an older gentleman walk by complaining about how crowded the stream was. I replied, "it is a Saturday in May after all". I think he is spoiled from retirement and getting to fish during the week.

We had a ball on Spring Saturday afternoon. Caught many on dries there including a beautiful 16 inch brown. We left about 7 when there was no evidence of spinners staging. Caught dinner and the first period of the Pens in State College.

Looking forward to the jam!

Noticed the same thing on the Little J on Saturday afternoon. Not nearly the crowds that I would have expected. Risers also completely shut down when the sun came out.
