Spring Creek, Centre Co., 9/23/2009

Fished Spring on Wed for a few hours, water is low and clear, took w/t around 1:00 it was 62. I fished the area around the new bridge, finally had a good day there, one of my favorite areas which hasn't been good to me this year.

I ended up landing 8, all on # 12 crowe beetle. All very nice fish, one brown around 16 or 18" that was all color up, he was beautiful. Did have some fish rising to something small, couldn't tell what they were!

when in doubt of what fish are rising to when it's small, tie on a griffiths gnat. Has rarely let me down!

Paul could get a stone to rise to a crowe beetle.
