Haven't been to Spring yet this year... what is the "new" section?

what is the "new" section?

That water is about a mile and a half below Bellefonte. It isn't really "new" anymore because it was opened at least three years ago. The PFBC took out a millrace damn that was backing up a significant length of the lower end of SC. After the damn removal PFBC performed extensive stream reclamation and narrowed the stream bed and put I tons of rubble and big boulders. I'd classify the section into two parts; the water above the parking lot is narrow, swift, and full of rubble, the water below the parking lot is wider, slower, and looks more like the lower sections of the Yellow Breeches.

I've fished both sections and have done better in the swifter water above the parking lot. There were no paths I could see on the lower water and there are private homes all along the road side. I had to walk upstream in the darkness to get back to where I had entered the stream otherwise I would of been trespassing.

It is a little hard to find but if you look at the area on Google Earth you will see where it is located and how to access the parking area.

the paradise is above Bellefonte, not sure where there would be a new section (unless its new to you).
wbranch, the section you are refering to is McCoy. and yes its been a while since they removed the dam, but you can find great access way lower on spring creek that isnt slow and isnt anything like yellow breeches.

I have accessed the section below McCoy dam from the railroad grade. Never needed to walk through people's backyards. There is a long pool right before Milesburg but i wouldnt consider it slow. Always got a good drift there.
