Fished from 10 til 2:30.

Didn't record water temps, but air temps in the mid 70's.

Hatches: BWO, smaller mayfly, Lil Black Stones, and piles of midges.

BWO's never really took off and only saw 2 fish rise all day (heard 3 more).

Fish caught on olive scuds, caddis pupa, and baetis nymphs.

I believe I caught the same fish from my last report on Spring, if not a very similar fish (17") and on an olive scud none the less.

I think I jinsked myself, because I was thinking that I have only been catching larger fish recently on Spring and them my next 5 fish were under 8". However, I finished the day with 2 over 12".

I had a snake swim between my legs and watched a mink forage while waiting for some surface activity.

Nice. I'll be there tomorrow!

My brothers fought the crowds today at Spring, caugth 9 fish said the water temperature was 58 degrees in the afternoon.

Benner had 20 cars when I arrived but all fishers were close to the hatchery. Down further was wide open. When I left there was fewer than 7 cars.

Fished Spring Creek on the way home from Penns Creek yesterday. A few fish were sporadically rising to BWO's, caught all fish on scuds and pheasant tails. There were lots of guys tramping through the stream and it was hard to find a spot to fish.
