Spring Creek(Bellefonte) 3/3 & 3/4

Fished Spring Creek on Saturday and Sunday. Due to the recent rain, the stream was pretty high and off color on Saturday. We did well using streamers and wolly buggers. I think we caught about 10 and missed twice that many in about 4 hours.
Sunday was brutal. It was snowing like crazy, windy and of course guide freezingly cold. The stream had cleared up a lot and was flowing closer to normal. We were only tough enough to stay out for 2-1/2 hours and managed about 1 fish each per hour using the same flies as Saturday. It sure felt good to get out.

I was also there on Sunday and can attest to that statement. We had the same problems, but I caught a 20" brown and it was probably the biggest trout I've ever pulled out of Spring Creek. We were out for about 4 hours and had several misses on black zebra midges and black midge dries size 28. I caught the big guy on a black bugger though.
