Fished Spring creek in the morning below the paradise waters. The water had good flow and was pretty clear. Hooked up a few including one pretty nice one but failed to get them to hand. Ended up leaving around 11 with only 1 caught throwing tandem small nymphs (walts/pheasant tail combo). No top water activity was noted.

Stopped at Little J on my way back down 99. Fished just upstream of Spruce for about an hour. Picked up one nicer fish and a smaller one fishing the riffles with the same two nymphs. Water here was higher and a bit off color. Saw a few sporatic bugs in the air but no risers.

nice going. pretty fish

The picture doesn't do the second one justice. I hooked him in the middle of a pretty powerful riffle and he took off like a train. Really loving the new fishpond nomad net, comes in handy when landing and releasing fish without handling them. I'm pretty awful at nymphing still and picking places I should try to nymph other than obvious runs. I occasionally get lucky though 🙂
