I went to Spring on Sunday, the 20th and saw the competition. The area below the McCoy parking lot was not one of their "beats", so I fished there in the morning and evenings for 3 days. I had good luck with trico spinners in the morning and a small tan caddis dry in the evenings. The only problem I ran into was a raft of kayakers that came through, and one of the young men decided to beat his paddle on the water as he went through where I was fishing. Trying to impress the girls I suppose. All in all, a good trip.
