Fished from 8:30 to 11:00 below the Paradise. The water is as low as I think I've ever seen it. Caught 2 on nymphs that went about 9 inches, then moved up into the Paradise, switched to 6x and a longer leader. As the sun warmed and I got a bit more stealthy things picked up landing about another 7 more, the largest being 13 inches. Slight BWO hatch with the occasional riser. Few caddis. I noticed my nymphs getting stuck on the bottom and pulling up rock roller caddis shells time and time again. Green inside. Went down below the Paradise again from about 2:00 to 3:30 and landed a few more in the riffles with nymphs. Scuds and PTs. Did see some pronounced redds and noticed two HUGE rainbows clearly in spawning mode. They probably won't get the job done and for all I know maybe engineered not to. Saw a good number of guys up through the Paradise. It was a good day to be out. I just love Spring Creek.
