I managed to slip up to sping creek on president's day and had some success. The weather was in the mid to upper 30s and when the sun came out it made a noticable difference. I actually started the day at the Little Juniata, which had a good color to it, but an extremely strong flow. Being that I was fishing alone, I chose life and drove up to spring. I arrived at spring cr. at about 2:30 and I did not see any risers, so fished a scud and phesant tail nymph tandem and managed three health wild browns. I was using 6X tippet and the fish seemed to be holding in the tailouts of the faster runs. Good luck to all and I can't wait for the mayflies.
