The fishing was pretty tough during my 4 days there this week.
Rises were quite scarce.
I saw very few - if any - tricos during the mornings. And I checked sections from Milesburg up to the paradise. Although I did talk to a couple of guys in the paradise parking lot wed morning, who said that they did see a bit of a hatch there, and a found a few fish coming up to them.
And even my usually reliable crowe beetles failed to produce much in the afternoons. I managed to catch a few here and there on them, but they were mostly small fish.
I spent 2 of the evenings on bald eagle creek below Milesburg, and did find some fish rising steadily to small BWO's during the last hour of daylight. But these were mostly small fish also.
The water temps were as warm as I can ever remeber seeing them on these streams. Spring creek was 72 degrees just below the paradise when I got up there monday afternoon at 3.
However, after I then immediately moved down below Bellefonte, I read 64 there. One day at noon, I recorded a temp of 67 on spring right above where logan branch comes in. And logans temp was 56

Tuesday afternoon I took a break from the hot weather, and went down to Sayers lake for a swim. But it's water was so warm that it didn't refresh me very much
