I fished the South Branch of the Towanda Creek for the second opener. Ended up landing only 5 fish. The largest was a 16'' Rainbow. Very frustrating day fishing, had atleast 6 fish on that I was unable to land and missed countless other strikes. Fish were caught on various flies including size 16 copper john, green weenie and san juan worms. Fun day as a beginner to catch fish but frustrating in not landing most of the fish when I had strikes. Water temperature was very cold and the air temperature was very cold as well with snow showers and sleet throughout the day.
