Time Fished: 4pm - 5pm
Weather Conditions: Sunny 56 degrees
Water Conditions: a little higher flow than normal. Forgot to get temp
Insects: just 2-3 Caddis
I chose this day as my annual stop at the south branch. Unfortunately the state stocked this stream yesterday which made it a zoo instead of me being the only one there. I had several strikes (15?) but was never able to get a solid hookup. I landed none. A lot of the trout I ran into were in slower water than usual. Fishing the tail end of pools was effective.
Talked to a minnow spinner who caught 26 on the day before and 20 this morning.
