Hey all,
Got out on the home creek today. This creek was creeping up my front steps last weds 9/7, The S. Codorus experienced it's worst flood since Agnes, but the flooding did not last as long as many east bank rivers.
I was going to wait a few more days before trying but came across a fisherman tues eve who had done well on worms, caught 10 browns. So I headed out for a few hours, and I'm glad to report all seems well. Fished from 10:30 til 2:00, overcast skies, water cool (no thermometer) water high still but not very cloudly, visibilty a few feet at least.
Brought 4 fish to the net and had at least 10 more hits and hooked 2 more fish, but threw hook. Black and olive wooly buggers caught 3 and produced all other action. One 13 inch brown was caught on a red SanJuan Worm, but only hit on the SW.
Fished about 1.5 miles downstream from Glen Rock, about mile 8 upstream to mile 7 on NCR Trail.
Great walking along bank right now everything flattened! Anyone need a trash can could find a few here.
Another note, river looks great, very rocky/gravel bottom, lots of silt left on banks.
