Anybody have a favorite source, other than shooting them personally, for good quality snowshoe hare feet? Gearing up for the tying season, and I’d like to load up on Usuals.

The last snowshoe hare feet that I bought were purchased at the Evening Rise fly shop in Lancaster, so that was obviously quite a few years ago. They were snowshoe feet from Hareline Dubbin. I bought some in dun and some in natural cream color. Hareline carries a multitude of colors. I’m not an expert in the quality of snowshoe hair but I thought it was pretty decent hair to work with back then.

I haven’t tied or fished any Usual patterns for quite a few years but I used to tie them up in sulphur flavor and did quite well with them when the sulphurs were popping. I might have to revisit that pattern this season.
