Fished last night, Weds, from 6 to dark. White flies are still coming off in decent numbers -- not like two weeks ago - but enough to bring up fish. Fish were feeding well, but the size tended to skew smaller (5 to 9 inches). Caught about a dozen with two pleasant surprises -- two trout on a white popper! They were in surprisingly great shape. Also, I did leave a popper in the mouth of a very large bass 18 to 20 inches... Great night.
Nice sunset. Life is good.

Rising fish always,

I was out on the Mon last night until almost 10 pm with my brother catching river fish on a fly rod. It was very pleasant weather conditions-- cool and dry.
